Sound photomechanical reprint of the two sales catalogues of the library and gallery of prints of the legendary prince Galitzin with extremely rare erotic works, prints and objects. The auctions took place in Brussels 1887 and 1890. With an introduction in French and English by the Dutch antiquarian N. Schors (1925-2014) about the riddles about the prince, his library and the catalogs. The catalogs (with 958 lots of printed matter and 210 lots of graphics, manuscripts and objects) are not illustrated, but 12 color reproductions (postcard size) of erotic color engravings (ca. 1835) by Devéria (associated with number 115 of catalog 2) are inserted by the publisher into the holder on the inside of the back cover.
